KAHRAMAA department’s accreditation renewed

The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) has added another milestone recently in its achievements, obtaining successfully the renewed accreditation of TUV SUD ISO 9001:2008 certificate for its Water Projects department.

The Water Project Department of the Technical Affairs Directorate (TA) at Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation was awarded with the ISO:9001/2008 certification in 2011.

The renewed certification now will be valid for three years. The Water Project Department was adjudged to have applied quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008 requirements for the management of water, buildings, and public facilities projects prior to the renewal.

The implementation of quality management system includes the study of water projects, developing the initial designs, preparing works, technical specifications and implementation programs for water projects, and supervision on water projects until delivery to end user.

KAHRAMAA endeavors to be an ISO certified organisation after completing the requirements of quality management systems at all departments. Work is in progress at remaining departments to achieve ISO certifications.
