Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” held the
4th Quarterly Corporate Performance Review Meeting (CPR) on Monday 12/3/2018,
to review the performance of its departments during the fourth quarter of 2017.
The meeting is chaired by KAHRAMAA President HE. Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari,
amidst the presence and participation of by KAHRAMAA Directors, Managers,
and Head of Sections. The purpose of this meeting is to monitor and evaluate
the performance and review workflow in accordance with the approved plans and
to promote the values adhered to by the corporation.
The meeting reviewed performance reports of various departments,
their progress, their projects' workflow, the difficulties they face, and the
mechanisms and strategies taken to solve such difficulties, in order to ensure
work progress according to the approved plans and timelines, especially under
current circumstances that Qatar is going through.
Indicators showed a rise in corporate performance in the fourth
quarter and during 2017 in general, as the performance of the corporation was
outstanding and KAHRAMAA managed to provide the country's needs of sustainable
electricity and water for all sectors.
Electricity networks have recorded lowest period of system minutes
loss since the establishment of the corporation, surpassing global and regional
indicators in this area. In addition, water networks also achieved the required
performance indicator with regard to the availability of the country’s water
reserves under the increasing demand and expanded the water network to cover
new sectors.
KAHRAMAA has also managed to implement all projects according to
developed programs and plans without affecting delivery dates of projects,
especially those serving development projects in the country. first
phase of the Water Security Mega Reservoirs Project will be
launched in the second quarter of 2018.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed KAHRAMAA Vision and its
strategic plans as a major development partner in the country, in the framework
of KAHRAMAA's keenness to look ahead and ensure that its commitments towards
providing electricity and water to the country are met with high efficiency.
