Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” is receiving applications of Tarsheed’s three contests till 6th of April. These contests are initiatives of National Program for Conservation & Energy Efficiency “Tarsheed”.
KAHRAMAA has announced the fifth edition of conserving buildings contests under the slogan “Green from the Ground Up”, the building designing contest under the slogan of “Projects of Today, Landmarks of Tomorrow” as well as the best initiative contest in the field of renewal energy.
These contests aim at disseminating awareness concept of conserving building among all categories of society, advisory offices, and contracting companies. They also aim at raising awareness of the benefits related to implementing proper practices to conserve electricity and water in building plans, encouraging the local market to adopt best building practices, as well as supporting individual and institutional initiatives in field of renewal energy.
There are many options to participate in contests such as governmental buildings, residential buildings, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, touristic buildings, and sport facilities. Entries also can participate in building designing contests for consultant and contracting companies and best initiative of renewal energy. The contests will be evaluated; in accordance to adopted standards, by an expert committee involves representatives from various authorities such as ministries, universities, and research centers. The winners will be honored in April 2017, during the 5th Tarsheed Annual Celebration.
