The Electricity Network Affairs Directorate has organized a number of electrical rural workshops across the country to ensure reliable uninterrupted power supply and to cope up with the emergent black out scenarios in case of interruptions in supply lines. The very purpose of the conducted maintenance workshops was to ensure stable electricity supply and deal with faults on the spot in the shortest time, in co-ordination with the round the clock functional call center 991.
The electricity network’s reliability increased as per System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) and System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) which were 0.2037 (cumulative 2016) and 20.975 (cumulative 2016), respectively.
