Description:
Core Responsibilities:
· Reviews internal electrical/ water system installation drawings for the building permit applications and issues approval for the same
· Allocates building permits as approved by the Head of Installation, by providing each customer building with a unique code/ number, basis which installations/ repair or maintenance of electrical/ water systems can be conducted
· Provides reports to the supervisor, indicating the appropriate number of connections from the Electricity and Water Networks to be granted to customer buildings
· Compares and checks alignment of approved electrical/ water system installation drawings and specifications with the installations within bulk customer buildings
· Conducts internal network pressure tests, approves materials and layouts of electrical wirings and water system connections, as was previously approved
· Specifies the size and type of electrical and water network connections for customers premises
· Monitors the work activities conducted by contractors on a regular basis, ensuring the documented scope of work is executed, safety regulations are followed and quality of works is line with Kahramaa’s standards and contract specifications
· Prepares technical reports basis the inspections conducted, for any specific cases, as declared by Head of Installation
· Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
· Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Installation Section are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
Self Management Responsibilites:
· Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
· Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
More than 7 years of relevant experience in a similar industry or in a similar role of which minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience preferably in the area of service permits issuance and related processes
