Description:
Manages tenders issuance and review process that includes preparation of tender documents for new or modification proposals, revision of bids, preparation of structural design drawings, cost estimation and reporting and planning
Provides civil engineering services such as site technical assessments including cost estimates, preparation of new layouts and designs including construction issues
Manages engineering consultants and supervise their performance when needed to carry out certain projects
Reviews drawings and various documents related to maintenance and new contract works
Reviews existing system design in Mechanical/Civil engineering and recommends improvements
Reviews and updates list of reference standards available in the department and raises requisitions for procurement
Assesses all civil and structural works with regard to safety of the existing plant and equipment
Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Energy Efficiency section are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering
More than 7 years of relevant experience in a similar industry or in a similar role of which minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience preferably in the area of civil engineering
