Kahramaa intends to install online continuous partial discharge monitoring system for existing Gas insulated switchgears (GIS) with built in UHF sensor in Electricity Transmission network with overall aim to monitor continuously partial discharge activity in existing 400kV and 220kV gas insulated switchgears, define current condition of the equipment, insulation, performance (probability of failure) and risk and identify the equipment that needs corrective action.
