KAHRAMAA Wins Silver Award by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents “RoSPA” for the Second Time

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) announces its second Silver Award win from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) for the year 2022. This award showcases KAHRAMAA's unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety within all projects.

This award comes as recognition of the corporation's distinguished efforts in the field of health, safety, and a secure work environment. It signifies the corporation's commitment to upholding the highest standards of occupational health and safety for all its personnel, including employees, partners, and contractors.

This international prize stands out from others due to its comprehensive scope and rigorous selection criteria, which encompass all relevant health and safety measures. the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is among the largest associations worldwide, specializing in delivering educational services in the field of occupational health and safety. As a non-profit organization accredited by the British government, they have dedicated over 100 years to advancing this field. With approximately 1,200 memberships from government institutions and non-governmental organizations spanning 58 countries, their global impact is remarkable.

Mr. Abdel Monem Ahmed Al Darwish, Manager of the Health, Safety, and Environment Department at KAHRAMAA, expressed his thoughts on the corporation's second-time win of this prestigious award, stating, "Our dedicated team collaborates closely with all departments within KAHRAMAA to ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards across all operations and affiliated facilities. This illustrates our unwavering commitment to upholding the laws and regulations in the State of Qatar, prioritizing the well-being of workers across various sectors, and safeguarding them against workplace hazards associated with their respective roles."

It is noteworthy that KAHRAMAA had previously won this award in the 2019 edition, even amidst the challenges faced by the global health sector during the Covid-19 pandemic. This accomplishment underscores KAHRAMAA's commitment to ensuring a healthy work environment for its staff, despite the obstacles posed by the prevailing health situation both within the country and globally.
