​Qatar Delegation headed by H.E. Essa bin Hilal AL-Kuwari, the President of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” participated at the 13^th ordinary general assembly meeting of GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) held in Doha on 17/4/2014.

The meeting was chaired by GCCIA Chairman Eng. Khalid Al-Jassar, Electricity and Water Undersecretary, Kuwait, in the attendance of representatives of member states and Eng. Adnan Al-Mohaisen, GCCIA General Manager.                       

The meeting discussed various issues on the agenda related to the interconnection among member states.  KAHRAMAA President, Al-Kuwari and GCCIA General Manager Al-Mohaisen signed agreement for interconnection between two substations for GCCIA and KAHRAMAA.

According to the alphabetical order, UAE will chair GCCIA board for the coming three year term.
