Qatar Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) announces
its technical and administrative readiness for the Holy month of Ramadan
through the readiness of its electricity and water transmission and
distribution networks, water pumping and tanker filling stations to ensure uninterrupted
stable services, meet customers demand, and achieve the Corporation mission
towards ensuring sustainable high-quality water and electricity.
KAHRAMAA’s Electricity Network Affairs completed the periodic
maintenance works of the main transmission
station, sub-stations, as well as other facilities and control centers by
providing various maintenance workshops
to ensure and enhance the continuousness
of electric power that is without any interruption during peak times,
especially in the strategic locations
and vital facilities such as mosques to meet any anticipated increase of
electric loads due to the increasing demand for electricity. Consequently, KAHRAMAA
guarantees the readiness of all technical teams around the clock for any
emergency to handle all faults in a record time and reduce electricity
interruption duration in a quick and professional way.
Additionally, the Water Networks Affairs completed the
periodic maintenance works for water pumping stations, tanks and water
transmission and distribution networks, while preserving the country's
strategic storage at its highest levels before the start of the summer season. As
well, the Water Control Center “SCADA” monitors on permanent basis the network to
provide water during the holy month and the summer period, with technical teams
ready to face any emergency water shortage across the State and around the
clock.
To satisfy all the needs for water, the operating systems at
Al Sailyia and Um Slal stations, have been allocated around the clock during almost
every day of the week to ensure uninterrupted provision of the water service.
As for the Holy Month of Ramadan, KAHRAMAA announces that the
water tanker filling stations will provide water to the subscribers based on
the following schedule:

The working hours on Fridays morning will be from 6 am to 11
am, and in the afternoon from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Al Ghuwairiya Station will be closed on Fridays and
Saturdays.
During the Holy month of Ramadan, KAHRAMAA receives custpmers
from Sunday to Thursday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at all customer service
centers, since the centers open from Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm. KAHRAMA
also provides its services to its customers at its offices in government
service complexes, that operate based on two shifts the morning one from 9 am
to 1 pm and evening shift from 1 pm to 5 pm.
On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, Qatar General
Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) presents its warmest wishes and
blessings to its customers and urges them to abide by KAHRAMAA technical
requirements regarding having the water tank next to the water meter that can
meet the customers’ needs for a period of 48 hours. Furthermore, KAHRAMAA requires
customers to observe electricity and water conservation as per the National
program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency “Tarsheed”. KAHRAMAA welcomes
