KAHRAMAA Received A Delegation of “Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority”

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA”, represented in Conservation and Energy Efficiency (CN) Department has received a delegation of “Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority” within a Gulf Tour to exchange experience related to conservation of energy and water and efficient utilization of the precious resources on Thursday August 4, 2016. 
 
The CN Department presented a lecture on Qatar’s successful experiments through the National Program of Conservation and Energy Efficiency “Tarsheed” especially in terms of application of Conservation Law no. 20/2015 regarding electricity and water consumption. Moreover, the lecture included information on the successful awareness campaigns as well as developing regulating laws for tariff, electrical devices, conserving building practices and renewable energy as part of the projects and intiatives of  “Tarsheed”. launched by “KAHRAMAA” in 2012 under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, The Emir of Qatar.
 The delegation of “Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority” has praised KAHRAMAA’s efforts through “Tarsheed”  and its great role in disseminating the culture, techniques, and regulations of electricity and water conserving consumption in addition to its encouraging applying and availing of renewable energy technology.
This visit comes in completion  of a Gulf Tour by the UAE delegation in the context of promoting relations and exchanging expertise among GCC countries in order to ensure providing best electricity and water services for customers through applying latest technology and promoting the culture conservation among all sectors of society to preserve vital resources.
It is worth mentioning that the delegation has visited “KAHRAMAA Awareness Park” which is the first in its type in the region and it will be open this year in order to receive the largest number of schools, universities, and researchers who are mainly targeted for this project to inform future generations of the importance of conserving electricity and water consumption, preserving natural resources to achieve comprehensive sustainability  as per  Qatar National Vision 2030.
