High Performance Indicators of KAHRAMAA Electricity Network in Summer 2015

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” managed to keep the high quality performance indicators of the electricity network and reduce faults in June, July, and August 2015. It comes within its endeavor to provide high quality service for customers.

KAHRAMAA, through the National Control Center NCC, managed to meet the increasing demand for electricity in summer especially in the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr due to the high temperature.

Maximum load in Summer 2015 witnessed unexpected increase as it recorded 7070 MW on August 22nd compared with 6740 MW in 2014 at an increase of 5%. Giving this fact, KAHRAMAA managed to keep the high quality performance indicators of the electricity network. on the other hand, 230 faults were recorded during the period June – August, this number represents 38% of the total 599 faults in 2015.
 
KAHRAMAA has opened maintenance workshops in order to ensure stable electricity supplies and deal with faults on the spot in coordination with the call center 991.
